Wolfreton Lane in Willerby is shut to 30 November. Cottingham's Harland Way and Northgate close evenings from 5 to 30 October; Holme Road to 14 October.

Wolfreton Lane in Willerby is the long one. It is shut between the Carr Lane roundabout and Kingston Road until Monday 30 November, on an order the council made on 17 September.

The M62 westbound at Goole closes four more nights. Junction 36 to junction 35 shuts 8pm to 6am from Wednesday 30 September to the night of Saturday 3 October. National Highways’ new report books no further nights for it after that.

Cottingham swaps one evening closure for another. West End Road and Hallgate close for the last time on Friday 2 October. Then Harland Way, West End Road and Northgate shut 6pm to midnight from Monday 5 October to Friday 30 October. That order is now made.

What changed since our last full sweep on 24 September:

  • The A164 Jock’s Lodge scheme is fully open. The council’s scheme page says the restrictions came off the A164 and the whole scheme opened to traffic on Saturday 26 September
  • Weel Bridge reopened on the evening of 25 September, after 160 days shut
  • A new 20mph zone in Swanland took effect on 27 September, covering 38 streets
  • Eight orders are now made that were only proposed a week ago, including Harland Way in Cottingham, Fairfield Avenue in Kirk Ella and six village closures in the second half of October
  • Six new notices for late October: Sand Lane at Wilberfoss, St Helens Close in Pocklington, Carter Street in Goole, Thixendale Road at Fridaythorpe, North Street at Barmby on the Marsh and the Bessingby Road service road in Bridlington
  • A new M62 closure east of Howden, junction 37 to 38 eastbound, on the night of Sunday 4 October
  • Finished as booked: Sample Avenue and York Road in Beverley, Millington Lane, Lowfield Lane at Haisthorpe, Sands Lane in Bridlington and the two overnight level crossing closures at Melton and Wressle

Priory Road, Cottingham is still not confirmed. The council gave notice on 20 August that it intended to close it. Six weeks on, there is still no made order on the Public Notice Portal.

What is closed, and when

East Riding road closures, 1 October to 30 November 2026 A timeline of nineteen closures and restrictions from 1 October to 30 November 2026. Shut now: Wolfreton Lane, Willerby. The road is closed from the Carr Lane roundabout to the junction with Kingston Road for carriageway reconstruction. It has been shut since Monday 21 September and completion is anticipated on Monday 30 November. The council made the order on 17 September. The diversion runs via the Carr Lane roundabout, The Parkway, the Gorton Road roundabout and Kingston Road. Access stays open for residents, pedestrians and emergency services only. Holme Road roundabout, Market Weighton is closed 7pm to midnight, Monday to Friday, until Wednesday 14 October while it is resurfaced and re-kerbed. The signed diversion is a very long way round:

  • the A1079 Giant Bradley Way, Sancton Road roundabout, Arras Hill, York Road and Beverley Road to Killingwoldgraves roundabout
  • the A1035 to Dog Kennel Lane roundabout
  • the B1248 through Etton and Lund to Station Road
  • the A614 back through Middleton and Bainton to Shiptonthorpe roundabout

Cottingham, evenings, to Friday 2 October. West End Road, Baynard Avenue, Hallgate and West Green are shut 6pm to midnight. It bites at four junctions:

  • West End Road with Eppleworth Road
  • Hallgate with West Green
  • Finkle Street with West Green
  • Baynard Avenue with Southwood Road

The diversion runs via Eppleworth Road, Green Lane, Castle Road, Southwood Road, South Street, Newgate Street, Thwaite Street, New Village Road, Northgate and West End Road. (statutory notice, 27 August 2026)

Then Cottingham again, from Monday 5 October. Harland Way, West End Road and Northgate close 6pm to midnight, with the work expected to finish by Friday 30 October. The extent runs from Harland Way at The Woodlands to West End Road at Eppleworth Road, and to Northgate at George Street. It is resurfacing, plus new kerbs and ironwork. The council made this order on 24 September. Pedestrians and access to properties stay open at all times. The diversion is via Harland Way, the A164 Beverley Road, Castle Road, Southwood Road, Baynard Avenue, West End Road, South Street, Newgate Street, Thwaite Street, New Village Road and Northgate. Sunk Island Road, from Monday 28 September, up to eight weeks. The road between the A1033 Keyingham Road junction at Ottringham and Brick Road at Sunk Island is being resurfaced. The council is spending £575,000 patching it and strengthening the edges ahead of surface dressing later. The job is in daytime, and sections close to through traffic as the crew moves along. The diversion is long:

  • the A1033 through Ottringham, Winestead and Patrington
  • Humber Lane, Haven Road and Main Street in Patrington
  • Patrington Road and Brick Road back to Sunk Island

Access to homes and businesses is kept “wherever possible”. (East Riding of Yorkshire Council, 15 September 2026)

Carr Lane, Newton upon Derwent, from 28 September for 47 days. The closure runs from outside Marlbeck to opposite Beck Farm, while about 1,150 metres of water main is drilled under the road. It is shut to all traffic except emergency vehicles. The diversion is via Hull Road, Bush Corner layby, York Road, Wilberfoss Road, Back Road and Bull Balk. We have still not found a made order for this one, so treat the dates as the council’s stated intention. (statutory notice, 16 September 2026)

Kings Causeway, Adlingfleet has a temporary 30mph limit for a mains replacement scheme. It started on 21 September and the council expects it to take 47 days. The order is made. (made order, 17 September 2026)

Welton’s crossing is open to walkers, and shut to motor vehicles until 2028. The order made on 10 September bans motor vehicles on Common Lane Crossing itself, on about ten metres of Common Lane and on about 15 metres of Common Lane South. The whole length stays open at all times to pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders. Drivers divert via Blenheim Avenue, Ings Bridge roundabout, Moor Road, Welton Road, Water Lane at Elloughton, Stanley Jackson Way and Common Lane. The council anticipates the works finishing on 1 April 2028. We have set out what changed at the crossing and how the permanent ban was proposed. (statutory notice, 10 September 2026)

Two bridleways near Beverley stay shut until March. Rowley Bridleway No 13 and Woodmansey Bridleway No 30 are closed to walkers, cyclists and riders for construction works. The works were meant to take six months and are not finished. The Secretary of State for Transport has approved an extension to 29 March 2027, or until the work is done if sooner. There is no alternative route. Woodmansey Footpath No 7 is also closed for up to six months, with a signed alternative via Woodmansey Bridleway 6 and the Skidby rights of way. Finished since our last sweep. These were all booked to end between 24 and 30 September, and the council has published no extension for any of them:

  • Sample Avenue, Beverley, daytime, booked to about 29 September

  • Gibson Lane South level crossing, Melton, overnight on 29 September

  • The temporary 40mph limit on Garrowby Hill at Bishop Wilton, expected to end about 26 September

Bridlington’s north side, to 10 October

Four streets between Flamborough Road and the sea close in turn. Sands Lane went first and has finished. The other four orders are all made.

Two details matter. Parking is suspended on Carlisle Road and Royal Crescent for the six days of the patching, and that closure runs in daylight rather than overnight. And on St Annes Road, buses will turn at the North Marine Drive junction with First Avenue.

St Annes Road diverts via Flamborough Road, Eighth Avenue, Limekiln Lane and North Marine Drive. Carlisle Road and Royal Crescent divert via the Promenade, York Road and Royal Crescent. Alexandra Drive diverts via the Promenade, Carlisle Road, Royal Crescent, Bright Crescent and Gladstone Terrace. Alexandra Walk has no diversion at all; it is access only. One more in Bridlington, a single day: the Bessingby Road service road, beyond its junction with St Johns Avenue, closes 8am to 4pm on Friday 30 October for sewer overflow maintenance. It is a dead end, so there is no diversion; residents keep access. Notice of intention. (statutory notice, 1 October 2026)

The first half of October

  • Monday 5 to Saturday 10 October. Rawcliffe Road, Goole, for 160 metres between the junction 36 interchange and the bridge over the M62, while the bridge is surveyed for corrosion. The council expects five days. We have not found a made order yet. The diversions are split by where you are heading: the M62 junction 37 and the A614 for motorway traffic, and Airmyn Road, Bridge Road and Boothferry Road for local journeys.   • Monday 5 to Friday 9 October. Trandy Lane, Laxton and Skelton Broad Lane, Skelton, closed for their whole length, 8.30am to 5pm on weekdays, for coring and investigation. The same order books the road again from 7 to 18 December and from 4 January to 5 February 2027 for the construction itself. Order made. Diversion via Station Road, Front Street, Chapel Lane, Metham Lane, Greenoak Lane, the B1230 Main Road and the A614 through Howdendyke. (made order, 17 September 2026)

  • Monday 12 October, Elloughton. Main Street between Brantingham Road and number 84 closes 8am to 5pm for sewer work, expected to finish by Tuesday 13 October. There is no alternative route at all. Order made. (made order, 24 September 2026)

  • Monday 12 to Friday 16 October, Hook. About 1,200 metres of Westfield Lane and Church Lane, 9.30am to 3.30pm on weekdays, for Openreach cabling. Order made.   • Queen Street, Eastrington, at The Bungalow, 8am 19 to 5pm 23 October, for a new gas service. Made 1 October. Diversion via Queen Street, Pinfold Street, High Street and Vicar Lane. (made order)
  • Mereside, Flamborough, Highlands East to Dial House, 19 to 23 October, for a sewer repair. Closed to all traffic without exception; pedestrians keep access. Made 1 October. Diversion via Mereside and South Sea Road. (made order)
  • Gransmoor Road, Gransmoor, Main Road to the Gransmoor Lodge access road, 7.30am 19 to 5pm 22 October, for patching. Made 1 October. The signed way round is long, through Harpham, Barmston, Ulrome, Burton Agnes and Carnaby. (made order)
  • North Street, Barmby on the Marsh, at Cherry Tree House, 8am 19 to 3pm 20 October, for a sewer connection. Notice of intention. Diversion via North Street and High Street. (statutory notice, 1 October 2026)

Skelton, near Howden, gets two. About 1,150 metres of Howden Road and 720 metres of Skelton Broad Lane close 8am 21 to 5pm 27 October for fibre ducting on behalf of Quickline Communications. And Moorfields Lane level crossing closes 9am to 5pm on Thursday 22 October for a bridge inspection; emergency vehicles and pedestrians keep access. Both orders were made on 1 October. New since our last sweep, all notices of intention:

  • Sand Lane, Wilberfoss, the whole road from the A1079 to Newbridge Lane at Yapham, 26 October to 5 November, for bend strengthening and patching. The council expects 11 days. Diversion via Newbridge Lane, Bolton Lane and the A1079 Hull Road. (statutory notice, 30 September 2026)

  • Thixendale Road, Fridaythorpe, Millington Glebe Farm to Church Lane, 29 October to 2 November, for fibre ducting. The diversion goes via the A166 and Garrowby Hill. (statutory notice, 30 September 2026)

A permanent change: Swanland’s 20mph zone

A 20mph zone across 38 streets in Swanland took effect on 27 September. The council made the order on 9 September. It covers The Green, Main Street, West End, Westerdale, Tranby Lane, Kemp Road and Mill Road among others, some in part. The same order extends the 30mph limit on Dale Road to a point about 309 metres north of its junction with Westerdale. Anyone who wants to challenge it in the High Court has six weeks from 24 September. (made order, 24 September 2026)

The trunk roads this week

National Highways’ new seven-day report covers Wednesday 30 September to Tuesday 6 October. Five things in it matter here.

The M62 westbound at Goole: four nights left. Junction 36 to junction 35, the junction 36 westbound entry slip and the link from junction 35 onto the M18 southbound all close 8pm to 6am on the nights of Wednesday 30 September to Saturday 3 October. No nights are booked for Sunday to Tuesday. The work is carriageway repairs and the signed diversion is the M62, A614, A19 and M18.

A new one east of Howden, Sunday night. The M62 eastbound between junction 37 (Howden) and junction 38 (Newport) closes 10pm on Sunday 4 October to 6am on Monday. The junction 37 eastbound entry slip and the junction 38 eastbound exit slip close with it. The diversion is the A614, M62 and A161.

The seven-month slip closure continues. The M62 eastbound entry slip at junction 34 has been shut around the clock since 25 September, with a scheduled end of 6am on Sunday 25 April 2027. Junction 34 is the A19 turn near Eggborough, in North Yorkshire, two junctions west of Goole. It matters here because it is the usual way onto the eastbound M62 from the A19. The diversion is the A19 and M62, and a 50mph limit runs between junctions 34 and 35.

The A63 out of Hull, westbound nights. Brighton Street to Western Interchange closes 8pm to 6am on Wednesday 30 September, Thursday 1, Friday 2 and Monday 5 October, with the Priory Way and Brighton Street slips. That is the road home to Hessle, Anlaby and Brough. Diversion via the A63, A15, A1105 and A1166.

Slip roads at Welton and Melton. The A63 eastbound slips at Welton and Melton close overnight on Wednesday 30 September, and the westbound slips at Melton and Western Interchange on Tuesday 6 October, for cleaning. On Friday 2 October the A1033 westbound entry slip at Saltend closes from 9.30pm.

Trains on the coast line

When we checked Northern’s JourneyCheck for Bridlington on 1 October, trains on the Hull to Scarborough line were running to time, with no line-wide restriction or amended timetable showing. Journeys on this line are worth checking on the day anyway. Much of it is single track, so one late train holds up the next. (Northern, JourneyCheck for Bridlington, checked 1 October 2026)

Two parking changes you may not have noticed

  • School keep clear markings, Bridlington, Boynton and Wold Newton. The council made an order on 27 August, operative the same day. It makes school keep clear markings mandatory on the B1253 at Boynton, on Back Street at Wold Newton and on Burstall Hill, Bridlington. It also replaces the informal school bus stop on Bessingby Road with a bus stand and adds no waiting at any time there. The times differ street by street, so read the signs.   • Routh Avenue, Beverley: a revised plan, open until 15 October. The council has republished its proposal for no waiting at any time at three junctions on Routh Avenue: both ends of Hotham Square and Warton Avenue. The lines would run about ten metres each way along the kerb at each junction. Objections go to traffic.consultation@eastriding.gov.uk, quoting reference 3102397, before 15 October. The £1.8m junction programme, August to December

The council is spending £1.8 million resurfacing seven junctions in the south and west of the district, with footpath and drainage work alongside. Britcon UK Ltd is the contractor. Work started on Monday 24 August and runs to December. The seven are:

  • Boothferry Road and Heads Lane, Hessle, finished 18 September
  • Willerby Square roundabout, finished 21 September
  • Springfield Way at Wolfreton Drive and Wolfreton Road, Anlaby, finished 4 September
  • The A1079 and Holme Road roundabout, Market Weighton, to 14 October
  • The A614 and M62 Howden spur roundabouts, no dates published
  • Selby Road and Beastfair junction to the county boundary, Snaith, no dates published
  • Newport Road at the M62 junction into North Cave, no dates published

Three of the seven still have no published dates. We swept the Public Notice Portal on the Goole, Howden, Snaith and North Cave postcodes again on 1 October and no closure notice had appeared for any of them. We will add them here when one does.

Beverley’s £600,000 night works

The Beverley programme is a separate £600,000 job announced on 28 July, covering seven stretches of road over about nine weeks from 3 August. The detail that caught people out: Beverley Bus Station on New Walkergate closed during the evenings of the first fortnight, with alternative stops on Manor Road. That phase has finished, as have Sow Hill Road, Champney Road and, on the council’s own two-week booking, Grovehill Road and Railway Street. Grovehill Road leads to Weel Bridge, which reopened on 25 September. Sample Avenue and York Road, the last two, were booked to finish on about 29 and 30 September, and the council has published no extension.

The A164 and Jock’s Lodge scheme is fully open

The £86.9 million rebuild of the A164 corridor between Beverley and Cottingham is the defining piece of road work in the district, and it is done. The council removed the restrictions on the A1079 on the evening of Friday 11 September, which opened the Jock’s Lodge roundabout and all its approaches. The scheme’s traffic management page now says the restrictions have also been removed from the A164, and the full scheme opened to traffic on Saturday 26 September. Work carries on around it, including removing the site compound and more landscaping. One caveat the council makes itself: restrictions stay on the A1079 towards Kingswood. Those are National Grid works and have nothing to do with Jock’s Lodge.

The funding splits £40.7 million from the Department for Transport and £46.2 million from the council. Main works started on 8 January 2024. What the money bought:

  • The old Jock’s Lodge traffic-light junction has gone, replaced by a new roundabout on the A1079 Hull to York road.
  • A new link road connecting that A1079 roundabout to the Lincoln Way and Minster Way roundabout on the edge of Beverley, plus northbound and southbound links down to the A164 near Coppleflat Lane at Bentley.
  • The A164 dualled between Coppleflat Lane and the roundabout with the B1233 Harland Way at Cottingham.
  • A new Dunflat Road junction, Bentley Bridge, and a new cyclepath between Beverley and Skidby.

Contractor GRAHAM moved more than 660,000 tonnes of earth along the 4km length. The scheme page still carries the abnormal load diversion away from the A164, and the cyclist and pedestrian route from Skidby roundabout to Beverley via Skidby Main Street, Beverley Road, Mill Road, Keldgate Road and Harland Way. It does not say whether those are still in force now the road is open, so check the scheme’s traffic management page if either affects you.

The permanent speed limits are being set now. On 20 August the council proposed 40mph through Jock’s Lodge roundabout on both the A1079 and the A164 arms, and 50mph on the new link road, the A164 south of Victoria Road and 3,780 metres of the Skidby bypass. Objections closed on 10 September. We have set out every length in that notice, and the other five speed limit changes published in the same week.

Howden Relief Road, running to 2027

At the other end of the district, the £45 million Howden Relief Road is under construction. It is a 1.7 kilometre road with a 7.3 metre carriageway and four roundabout junctions, linking the A614 Thorpe Road with Station Road and taking heavy traffic out of Howden town centre. Main construction started in summer 2025 and is programmed to take about 29 months, so completion is expected in 2027. It is funded jointly by the council and the developers behind HOW-G, the scheme that also brings around 1,800 homes, a supermarket, a medical centre, a primary school and an expansion of Howdens Joinery. The A63 at Hull is finished

Worth saying plainly, because it dominated the commute from Hessle, Anlaby and Brough for years: National Highways’ £355 million A63 Castle Street scheme is done. The underpass opened to traffic on 23 March 2026 and the Mytongate junction followed days later, with the last of the overnight closures cleared in May 2026. The nights of slip-road and survey work at Brighton Street and Western Interchange are tidying, not the scheme restarting. (National Highways, A63 Castle Street)

What you can still object to

Routh Avenue, Beverley, until 15 October. The revised no waiting proposal for three junctions is set out under the parking changes above. Quote reference 3102397.

The Welton objection window has closed. The council proposed a permanent ban on motor vehicles, at all times except for access, on part of Common Lane, reference TMS2353508. Objections closed on 24 September, and the order has not yet been made. (statutory notice, 3 September 2026)

The routes that matter here

The East Riding is a large, thinly connected district, and traffic problems tend to be the same handful of corridors every time.

  • A164, Beverley to Hessle. The Hull commuter spine and the road just rebuilt. It connects Beverley to the A63 and the Humber Bridge.
  • A1079, Hull to York. Runs across the south of Beverley and out through Market Weighton and Pocklington. The single-carriageway sections west of Beverley are the pinch points, and it is the diversion for the Holme Road roundabout closure.
  • A63 and M62. The Humber bank route west from Hessle and Brough, and the district’s link to Goole, Leeds and the motorway network.
  • A165, Hull to Bridlington. The coast road through Hornsea, and the one that fills up on summer weekends.
  • A614. Howden and Goole to the M62 and the Vale of York.
  • A1033. The Holderness road out to Withernsea and Spurn, with no alternative if it closes.

The Humber Bridge

Crossing to North Lincolnshire costs £2.00 for a car without a toll account and £1.50 with one. Motorbikes and trikes are free. Two-axle vehicles between 3.5 and 7 tonnes, minibuses and coaches pay £5.00 or £4.00 with an account, and anything over 7.5 tonnes on three or more axles pays £15.00 or £12.00. We last re-checked these on 10 September and none had changed; the bridge dates them to 31 January 2026. Its planned works page lists no works in either direction.

The booths have gone. The bridge now reads number plates, and if you do not have an account you have until midnight on the day after you cross to pay, after which a £25 admin fee is added. (Humber Bridge, toll prices and planned works, both checked 10 September 2026)

Parking and park and ride

Bridlington Park and Ride is the district’s only park and ride, and it is seasonal. The South Cliff site, postcode YO15 3QN, about a mile south of the resort, is open from 28 March to 1 November 2026. It ran the full timetable to Sunday 20 September and has been on the reduced timetable since 21 September, so check the times before you rely on it. It costs £6.50 per vehicle, and that covers the bus into town and back for up to five people, including disabled drivers. The site opens for parking at 8.30am with buses running from 9.30am to 8pm in peak season. (East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Bridlington park and ride)

Town car parks are council-run and cashless payment is available through MiPermit. Taking Beverley’s Saturday Market car park as the pattern: 98 standard spaces and 10 disabled bays, charges apply 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday including bank holidays, the machine takes cash or card, and motorcycles park free in the marked bays. An East Riding Wide Daily ticket is valid across all the council’s long-stay car parks, which is the useful one if you are moving between towns in a day. Station parking. Beverley station sits at the Grovehill Road level crossing. If you are driving to Brough instead for the faster London trains, the A164 is now clear of the Jock’s Lodge works.

  • Roadworks and closures across the district are published on the national one.network map, which carries East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s street works alongside the utilities’ own.
  • The statutory closure notices themselves, with exact extents and signed diversions, are on the Public Notice Portal.
  • The A164 scheme specifically posts its live traffic management and monthly progress at a164jockslodge.co.uk.
  • Motorway and trunk road incidents on the M62 and A63 are on National Highways’ live traffic updates, and its seven-day closure report lists every planned trunk road closure a week ahead.

Frequently asked questions

Which roads are closed in the East Riding right now?

The main ones:

  • Wolfreton Lane, Willerby, all day until 30 November
  • Holme Road roundabout, Market Weighton, 7pm to midnight on weekdays until 14 October
  • West End Road and Hallgate, Cottingham, 6pm to midnight until Friday 2 October, followed by Harland Way, West End Road and Northgate from 5 to 30 October
  • Sunk Island Road near Ottringham, in daytime sections, for up to eight weeks from 28 September
  • Four Bridlington streets in turn, to 10 October

On the motorway, the M62 westbound between junctions 36 and 35 shuts overnight until the night of Saturday 3 October.

How long is Wolfreton Lane at Willerby closed for?

From Monday 21 September to Monday 30 November, between the Carr Lane roundabout and Kingston Road, for carriageway reconstruction. The diversion runs via the Carr Lane roundabout, The Parkway, the Gorton Road roundabout and Kingston Road. The council made the order on 17 September, so the closure is confirmed.

Is Weel Bridge open?

Yes. It reopened to traffic on the evening of Friday 25 September after a £1m refurbishment, 160 days after it was lifted out. The three-tonne weight limit and 3.3m height restriction still apply. The council said the Beverley tip on Weel Road would reopen the next morning.

Is the A164 Jock’s Lodge scheme open?

Yes, fully. The A1079 restrictions came off on the evening of 11 September, and the scheme’s own page says the A164 restrictions have now gone too, with the full scheme open to traffic from Saturday 26 September. Site clearance and landscaping carry on. The scheme cost £86.9 million, made up of £40.7 million from the Department for Transport and £46.2 million from the council. Separate restrictions on the A1079 towards Kingswood are National Grid’s.

Is the Cottingham Priory Road closure confirmed?

No. The council gave notice on 20 August that it intended to make that order, and six weeks later we have still not found a made order for it on the Public Notice Portal. The West End Road, Baynard Avenue, Hallgate and West Green closure is confirmed and runs to 2 October. The Harland Way, West End Road and Northgate closure from 5 to 30 October is also confirmed: the council made that order on 24 September.

Is Common Lane at Welton still shut?

To motor vehicles, yes, and the council anticipates the works finishing on 1 April 2028. The order made on 10 September opens the crossing to pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders at all times, and narrows the vehicle ban to the crossing itself plus about ten metres of Common Lane and 15 metres of Common Lane South. A separate proposal would ban motor vehicles there permanently, except for access; objections closed on 24 September.

Which roads are shut in Bridlington?

Four on the north side, in turn, from 1 to 10 October: St Annes Road, Carlisle Road and Royal Crescent, Alexandra Walk and Alexandra Drive. All four orders are made. Carlisle Road and Royal Crescent close in daylight, with parking suspended, from 1 to 6 October; the rest are overnight. The Bessingby Road service road follows on 30 October.

How much is the Humber Bridge toll?

£2.00 for a car without an account, £1.50 with one, last re-checked on 10 September 2026 and dated by the bridge to 31 January 2026. Motorbikes cross free. There are no toll booths now, so pay online or by app before midnight the day after crossing. The bridge lists no planned works in either direction.

Is there a park and ride in the East Riding?

One, at Bridlington, open 28 March to 1 November 2026 and costing £6.50 per vehicle including the bus for up to five people. The full timetable ran to 20 September; it has been on the reduced timetable since 21 September.
