Cinderella runs 12 December to 3 January across 29 performances, with relaxed and BSL dates. Plus Beverley's Railway Children, prices and seats left.

The East Riding has two Christmas shows worth booking ahead for, and both are already on sale. Bridlington Spa’s pantomime is Cinderella, running Saturday 12 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027 across 29 performances. East Riding Theatre in Beverley is doing The Railway Children, 25 performances from 3 to 24 December.

Neither is sold out. The Beverley run has moved about one seat in nine.

Cast

The Spa’s listing names two: David Potts and Troy Harris. The producer’s own page for the production goes further, listing Potts as Dandini, Harris as Muddles, Joe Standerline as the Fairy Godmother, Leah Appleyard as Cinderella, Kieran Messer as the Prince, Paul Winterford and Jay Joel as the step sisters and Barbara Jaeson as the Baroness. Troy Harris also directs, with choreography by Emma-Katie Adcock and Martyn Cooper as musical director. (Paul Holman Associates)

Booking Cinderella

Tickets went on sale on 12 February 2026 and all 29 performances were still on sale on 4 September. Prices are not published on the listing page and only appear once you pick a performance and open the seat plan, so we have not quoted them here.

The Spa runs a payment plan that lets you hold seats with a deposit and pay the balance in instalments, and it takes donations towards tickets for families who could not otherwise come. Box office 01262 678258. (Bridlington Spa, Cinderella)

The Railway Children at East Riding Theatre, Beverley

An in-house East Riding Theatre production, written by Anna Wheatley and directed by Richard Avery, running two hours with doors 20 minutes before the start. It is the Edwardian Christmas version of the story: the carols are playing, the halls are decked, and then Bobbie, Peter and Phyllis lose their father and the family moves to a cold cottage in the Yorkshire hills.

25 performances, 3 to 24 December. Evenings at 7.30pm, matinees at 2.30pm. There are no performances on 6, 7, 13, 14 or 20 December.

How full is it? We counted every performance through the theatre’s box office feed on 4 September. 4,058 of 4,594 seats were still available, so about one seat in nine has gone with three months to run. The tightest performances are the Saturday 19 December matinee (135 seats left of 187), the Christmas Eve matinee (132 of 187) and the evening of Wednesday 23 December (140 of 188).

One oddity to know about: the Thursday 17 December 2.30pm performance is set out in a much smaller layout, 87 seats rather than the usual 182 to 193, and 57 of those were left. If you want that slot it will run out first.

East Riding Theatre’s own website was down on 4 September, returning a server error, so the figures above come from its ticketing system rather than its site. (East Riding Theatre box office)

Getting there

Bridlington Spa is on South Marine Drive, YO15 3JH, a walk from Bridlington station along the south beach.

East Riding Theatre is at 10 Lord Roberts Road, Beverley, HU17 9BE, and the car park with the same name and the same postcode is open Saturdays and Sundays only, with charges applying 8am to 6pm on Saturdays. Nineteen of the 25 performances fall Monday to Friday, when that car park is gated shut, so plan for somewhere else on all but the six Saturday shows. Our parking in Beverley page covers which town car parks are open when, and roadworks and travel covers anything booked in on the routes across the Wolds in December.

Two other December fixtures are worth having in the diary at the same time: the Beverley Festival of Christmas on Sunday 13 December, which falls on a day The Railway Children is dark but Cinderella plays twice, and the district’s Christmas lights switch-ons in November.
