Bridlington's parade steps off at 10.40am on Sunday 8 November, with free parking at two car parks. Beverley, Driffield and Hessle times, and what is still TBC.

Quick answer: Remembrance Sunday is Sunday 8 November 2026. Bridlington is the only East Riding town with full 2026 timings so far: the parade steps off from Station Approach at 10.40am and the service at the War Memorial Gardens starts at 10.55am. Hessle and Driffield have confirmed the date but not the times. Beverley has not published its 2026 arrangements yet; last year’s parade formed up at 10.15am and the Minster service began at 10.50am.

Is it on this year?

Yes, in every town that has said anything. Here is where each one stands on 4 October:

Town 2026 status What is published Source
Bridlington Confirmed Parade 10.40am, service 10.55am, free parking Bridlington Town Council
Hessle Date confirmed “Remembrance Parade”, 8 November, “more info coming soon” Hessle Town Council
Driffield Date confirmed Parade, church service and wreath laying, times TBC Royal British Legion Driffield branch
Beverley Not yet published 2025 timetable below; 2025 details appeared on 26 October Woodmansey Parish Council, 2025

We will add each town’s times as the organisers publish them.

Bridlington: Sunday 8 November

Bridlington Town Council says veterans, community organisations, the Royal British Legion and the town council will take part in the annual service. Its published plan:

  • 10.40am: the parade steps off from Station Approach, by the railway station.
  • 10.55am: the service begins at the War Memorial Gardens.
  • Afterwards: the parade moves towards King Street, where it falls out.
  • Refreshments: tea, coffee and a warm space at Christ Church.

Parking. The town council says you can park free in the Harbour Commissioners and Palace car parks. Arrive early: the Palace car park closes at 10.15am and does not reopen until after the event.

Road closures. The council says “there will also be some road closures along the route”, but it has not listed the roads. No temporary closure notice for the parade had appeared on the Public Notice Portal by 4 October. Check our roadworks and travel page in the week before.

Beverley: 2026 details not yet published

Beverley’s parade marches to Beverley Minster for the service and then returns to the Memorial Gardens on Hengate for wreath laying. Neither Beverley Town Council nor the Minster has published the 2026 arrangements yet. The Minster’s what’s on page lists ticketed concerts for November but not the Remembrance service.

The 2025 timetable, as published by Woodmansey Parish Council on 26 October 2025, was:

  • 10am: parade members assemble in the School Lane car park, behind Beverley Fire Station.
  • 10.15am: the parade forms up under the guidance of the Defence School of Transport.
  • 10.30am: it steps off along New Walkergate, Railway Street, Eastgate and Minster Yard North and enters the Minster by the Highgate door.
  • 10.50am: the Service of Remembrance begins.
  • 11.50am: the service ends. The parade marches along Minster Yard North, Eastgate, Wednesday Market, Butcher Row, Saturday Market and Hengate to the Memorial Gardens. The salute is taken at the Market Cross by the Vice Lord-Lieutenant.
  • Memorial Gardens: a short service and the laying of wreaths, then the parade returns along New Walkergate to School Lane, where it falls out.

If 2026 follows the same pattern, the best places to watch are the Minster approaches before 10.50am and Saturday Market and the Market Cross from about midday. Treat those times as a guide until the 2026 plan is out. Beverley car park hours and prices are on our parking in Beverley page: every council car park in town is free on a Sunday except East Riding Leisure Beverley.

Woodmansey Parish Council’s 2025 notice also listed two earlier services close to Beverley: Dunswell Memorial on Hull Road, outside the school, at 9.30am, and St Peter’s Church, Woodmansey, at 10.30am. Neither parish has posted 2026 times yet.

Driffield: date set, times TBC

The Royal British Legion Driffield and District branch lists its 2026 events:

  • Sunday 1 November, 10.30am: Children’s Service of Remembrance at Driffield Cemetery.
  • 26 October to 10 November: Poppy Appeal collections in Driffield and the surrounding area.
  • Sunday 8 November, times TBC: Remembrance Sunday parade, church service and wreath laying.
  • Wednesday 11 November, 10.45am: Armistice Day parade at the Garden of Remembrance.

Hessle: date set, details to follow

Hessle Town Council lists a Remembrance Parade on 8 November 2026. All it says so far is “More Info Coming Soon”.

Goole, Hornsea, Pocklington and the rest

On 4 October we could not find 2026 Remembrance details from the town councils or Legion branches in Goole, Hornsea, Pocklington or Withernsea. These towns usually hold Remembrance Sunday services, but we will not print times until the organisers publish them.

Armistice Day, Wednesday 11 November

The two minutes’ silence at 11am on Armistice Day falls on a Wednesday this year. Driffield’s Legion branch is the only East Riding organiser so far to publish a parade for it (10.45am, Garden of Remembrance).
